Nearly 10 years ago, on 17 Feb, 2015, history was created as Hamilton first showed Off-Broadway at the Public Theater in New York City. It was this iconic opening that was so well-received, which became a Broadway opening by August. Since then, Hamilton has been running not only in America, but in several locations around the USA.

Hamilton continues its success as it goes on a limited season in New York in December at Richard Rodgers Theatre, typically well known for showcasing the world’s most astounding productions and musicals.

The success of this musical from its birth started to grow larger and bigger especially following the 2016 Tony Awards, where Hamilton was able to win 11 out of 16 nominations and cemented its ranks in Broadway and beyond. It also demonstrated to be enjoyable to a broader crowd partly of the fact that this musical specifically chooses to features genres highly relevant in popular culture, such as hip-hop, jazz, and R&B, while featuring a very diverse cast for each tour. Its catchy score and musical recording have become even more accessible due to its adaption outside the musical itself on streaming platforms.

Its reach only continued to develop from here as Hamilton has continued to show in various states across the United States, and perform in several locations across the globe including Canada, the equally-respected West End in London, New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines and Abu Dhabi. Its worldwide fame continues it also became a movie version in 2020 that became available on Disney.
